General Description:
Established by the Security Council Resolution 690 on April 29th, 1991. The ribbon is detailed by a broad sandy beige stripe taking up the center and bookended at the edges by thin light blue / off-blue stripes.


Award Criteria (as detailed by various official sources):
Those awarded this medal / ribbon can wear the first medal / ribbon for which they qualify. They are worn at the same position as the United Nations Medal. Subsequent awards in a different mission are denoted by a Bronze Service Star. Not more than one U.N. ribbon may be worn at one time.
